Westfield Bondi Junction (NSW)
Westfield Bondi Junction is Westfield’s global flagship centre, which set a new international benchmark in shopping centre design. This electrical design and construct contract for FIP Electrical is a landmark retail and entertainment complex, which consolidated three existing retail sites to establish 104,000 square metres of retail space in the heart of one of Sydney’s most affluent areas. The new Centre includes David Jones and Grace Bros department stores, Coles and Woolworths supermarkets, a Target discount supermarket, an 11-cinema complex, plus cafes and restaurants over 375 speciality stores and around 3300 car parking spaces.
FIP Electrical Pty Ltd spent over 90,000 working hours to bring this very successful project into fruition working closely with the Westfield Design and Construct group. Our engineering and project team worked tirelessly to design and install all the electrical services on this enormous footprint having six separate substations, main switchboards, countless sub-boards, kilometres of submain and subcircuits including all the lighting and power systems and all the associated interfacing.
